VIBRATOR CONTROL ON 58-GN.

We have now fitted up this car with the latest dynamo and with the regulator mounted correctly. The scheme has been thoroughly tested and is working satisfactorily.

Although a slight debit on the ammeter may still be observed sometimes with the headlamps on, the battery will not discharge as immediately the debit lowers the battery voltage appreciably, the dynamo delivers more charge and reduces the debit accordingly.

We should be interested to have particulars later on as to how often it becomes necessary to top up the battery. Incidentally the battery has been thoroughly examined and appears in good condition.

The scheme now fitted to 58-GN is the scheme we hope to go on production with on the 40/50. and Bensport as soon as possible.

It might be of interest to you to know that according to Messrs Lucas representative, Standards, Austin, and Sunbeam are now experimenting with similar schemes.
