Herewith is N. Sch.4551 shewing the spring plunger in the unit construction shock damper arrangement now being fitted to the first 8 cars, made in two parts, so as to give a bronze shock damper piston and a hardened steel face for the main spring rollers to work on. This should be done on the 8 cars now being built.
