contd :- -2- We agree with the suggestion that cars standing in the Coachbuilders should be amply lubricated and the engine and transmission turned periodically. In our opinion, to do this daily would be quite unnecessary. We consider that if before the car has left the Coach-builders it is well lubricated all round and a small quantity of oil is syringed into each cylinder (this should be done when the engine is cold so that the oil will adhere to the cylinder walls) and the engine is turned over several times, we think then that if the engine and transmission were turned over once a fortnight, it would be ample.
