78430 Mr. Booth. c. Mr. Shelton. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY1/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 30.12.24. "V" & "W" SERIES STEERING COLUMN. RE BOX FOR STEERING WORM. ************************************ There is no proposal at the moment to use the roller bearing on the steering gear box. I asked Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} whether he was satisfied with the plain bearing, and he agrees that it is quite satisfactory. In view of the foregoing, we should not make provision for using the roller bearing. Any economies in regard to the pocket space on the bonnet which can be made in view of the above position, should be adopted. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
