W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq.,
Messrs Rolls-Royce Limited,
D E R B Y.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

We have been discussing the possibility of taking our road tests of new cars even deeper than we do at present, and in conversation with Mr. Tombs yesterday in Coventry, he mentioned the Cambridge electric machine you used for recording acceleration and deceleration and other important data.

I wonder if you would be good enough to tell me if in your judgment, a recording machine of this kind could be beneficially used by us and applied to different cars submitted for test. Also I should be glad if you would send me the name of the makers, as I should like to go into the matter with them direct after I have heard from you.

Best wishes,

Yours sincerely,
Geoffrey Smith
