17th September, 1934.

W.A. Robotham, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Limited,
Derby.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

Forgive me for not having written before to congratulate you on the performance of the Bentley in the Ulster T.T.

I felt that you were rather badly treated by the Press who did not give nearly enough emphasis to the fact that it was a handicap race and, therefore, rather ignored the splendid run which the Bentley made.

I was of course delighted that you used our plugs and judging by the average speed I imagine that they can have given no sort of trouble.

In advertising the result we have tried to offset the impression given by the Press and have given equal publicity to the fact that the Bentley put up fastest time. In case it may interest you, I am enclosing a pull of the advertisement which we used in "THE MOTOR" of September 11th.

Kind regards,
Yours sincerely,
