Memorandum regarding the principle of 'bifilar'suspension, with special reference to the identity between the "bifilar"constructions of CHENARD WALCKER (according to French patent N°632,017 of April 4, 1927) and of Sarazin (French patent N°724,234 and additional patent N°41,251 of 1930 and '31. N.B.- Chenard-Walcker's patent has become public property ; so has their German equivalent DRP N°500,948. Principle of the Bifilar Suspension. The Chenard-Walcker patent (1927) anticipates wholly the Sarazin patent and the addition thereto. (1) In Chenard-Walcker's patent, bifilar suspensions are described. (2) They describe more particularly - three years prior to Sarazin- systems of bifilar suspension of the same type as Sarazin's. (3) They describe in their specification, and show in their drawings, particular embodiments strictly identical with those of Sarazin. (4) Chenard Walcker (prior to Sarazin) apply the said bifilar suspension to centrifugal oscillating masses, and which are : { not subject to springs, { not subject to damping, { returned solely by centrifugal forces. Consequently, there is complete identity, as regards both : (a) the principle, (b) the constructional form. ./. | ||
