re SpectreCodename for Phantom III Water Pump.
We send you herewith drawing:-
LeC.4080 showing a larger water pump.
The rotor has been increased in diameter from 4" to 4.75".
It is not possible to fit this water pump to the present crankcase without some modifications to the pattern.
As soon as we know where the restriction is in the present water system we can instruct all the alterations to the crankcase necessary at the same time.
The packing glands have been abandoned in favour of carbon seal rings with thermoflex bellows, the size of the bellows being the same as on the experimental Phantom water pump.
We should be glad to know if the later design is proving satisfactory.
