X8793 -2- Extract from R5/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 28-1-27. X4041 I rather like Bosch better than Delco, which has such a large piece of fibre to change its shape. Would it be good to have damping friction on the pivot ? Spring finger Say 1 lb. on fibre disc. Say 1/4" dia. top and bottom. Creating say 10% friction of return spring. Could we also reduce rebound and scrub tungsten (very hard points) clean by movement between the points? X 8793 Difficult to know how to do this without up-setting the bedding. What is the practice of the magneto people ? Have the Lucas people actually made their points last so long; If so, how ? R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
