| DESMO Continuation Sheet No. 1. Date 9/1/34. Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd. DERBY. We feel that it now rests with your goodselves as to whether you consider the Cover is likely to be sufficiently satisfactory for your requirements to warrant you assisting us towards the part cost of tools, which as we mentioned previously will be somewhere about £15. to £20. Although these tools are in the nature of experimental ones they would be made in steel and properly finished so that in the event of the Covers being passed as satisfactory these tools would then be used in production and no further charges made in this direction. With regard to the price of the actual covers, we cannot give you an exact figure until the design is finally settled, but each separate small cover would cost approximately 8d. We now await the favour of your further comments and in the meantime would assure you of our closest co-operation at all times. Yours faithfully, DESMO LIMITED. [Signature] TECHNICAL DEPT.
