Re: Parts for Experimental Purposes ex Paris.

We have received an enquiry from the Board of Customs in regard to certain importations of parts. The following are the questions we are called upon to answer:-

(1) For what purpose are the goods imported i.e. servicing or production work?

(2) Are the parts imported to fulfil orders previously taken from customers in this country, or for use or sale from stock?

As we understand these parts are obtained for Experimental purposes, will you please confirm that these parts, as detailed below, are for use strictly for experimental work, and that they will not be re-sold:-

(1) 1 Scintilla Voltage Regulator with Cut-Out. Supplied as per memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.19/H.8.4.36, in April, 1936.

(2) Citroen Car Parts as follows:-

1 Front Axle complete.
6 Bars.
1 Rear Axle complete.
1 Rack Steering Gear.
2 Shock Absorbers.
2 Wheels.
1 Stationary Tube.
1 Steering Wheel.
etc. etc.
Delivered to us in August, 1936.
