Low Pressure Tyres.
Medium Pressure Tyres.

In order to prevent a considerable mdsunderstanding with our customers, it is desirable, before introducing low pressure tyres, that we should have a clear understanding what we call them, and it seems necessary that we should keep to the same description as the makers.

In the Dunlop's Wholesale list dated 19th April 1926, it shows that 33 x 6.75, which we intend to supply on the Phantom, is described as a Balloon Wired or Straight Side type, for well base or flat base straight side rims.

On the opposite page it refers to 6 3/4 for 23 extra heavy as a medium pressure Wired type for well base rims.

Under these circumstances it is necessary for us always to talk of the tyres on the Phantom as 'balloon'.

As regards the 20 HP we are supplying 5 1/4 which are described in the Dunlop catalpgue as 5 1/4 for 21 Extra Heavy. These come under the heading of Medium Pressure Wired type for well base rims. It is, therefore, necessary for us always to refer to them as medium pressure tyres.

On hearing from you that you agree to this, I will give instructions to our Sales Department accordingly.

BJ.
