DESIGN WORK NEEDED FOR WHICH SUFFICIENT EXPERIMENTAL DATA IS AVAILABLE AND WHICH CAN BE BROUGHT IN WITHOUT A MAJOR TEAR-UP OF THE CHASSIS.

Phantom III. Less costly radiator construction.
Raised front engine mounting.
Articulated connecting rods.
Over speed gearbox.
Rear brake layout on the lines of the
Continental Phantom III.

Bentley Rear brake layout simplified as on 6.B.IV.
New Wraith unit adapted to Bentley.
Raised front engine mounting as on 6.B.IV.
Wraith gearbox adapted with over-drive.

Wraith Packard type front suspension.
Raised front engine mounting.
Simplified radiator and mounting.

RESEARCH DESIGN

(1) Design unit round single cyl. work of side
valve, exhaust O.H.V. inlet and get the design
costed.

(2) Design an alternative drive for the O.H.
camshaft engine using any information available
from the work done on the supercharger drive.

(3) Investigate a Phantom III. engine with side
by side connecting rods.

(4) Investigate simplest arrangement of one
mechanical and one electric petrol pump.

MAJOR TEAR UPS.

(1) New P.III. frame, simplified front suspension
and gearbox on the engine.

(2) Bentley III. adapted to whatever suspension is
adopted on Wraith.
