10,000 MILES TEST ON 'INDIA' CHASSIS.

With reference to BJ2/H14.8.25. We note that it is considered that the experimental test in France should only consist of 7,000 miles instead of the usual 10,000 miles.
We think it is a pity that we are not allowed to complete the 10,000 miles. If the car is running satisfactorily, the final 3,000 miles would be completed in 6 days under the test routine in France. Also, if anything happens to fail during the last 3,000 miles, we get the information so much earlier.

We believe CWB. would be doing exceedingly well if he completed 3,000 miles in 3 weeks.

It was agreed at one time that the "Amateurs" Car should be a separate car entirely from the experiment test car. We consider this is much more satisfactory.

We know that the 20 HP. car fitted with 4-wheel brakes has a number of faults. We know that if CWB. takes the car he will complain of those faults. The chief of these are - Servo Gear rattles and steering wobbles at low speeds.

It is not policy to stop the 10,000 miles test to give attention to these faults because before the test is completed we may have a serious failure.

We were hoping however to use 9-G-111 car for experiments as soon as ever the 10,000 miles test was completed.
