X62575 C. EFC. STARTER MOTOR ON 9-EX. SECS:8000, 8020 & 8040. 37 Slots. The present motor has faults in having too much end movement and insufficient rotational movement and a new armature with less taper and fewer slots is required. Will you please put in hand one such armature complete with commutator to L.O.Ps. D.71856 and D.71854 and one set of Field Poles. Blueprints of parts required and not previously issued to you are:- D.71853 - Commutator Bar. D.71854 - Commutator L.O.P.&ARRGT. D.71857-Armature Coil. D.71855 - Wire for Armature Winding. D.71858-Winding Diagram. D.71856 - Armature L.O.P.&ARRGT. Four new pole pieces will be required to suit the new taper and D.71798 should be fitted together with the 5 1/2 turn field winding D.71688 instructed in BY/RD6/ML8.8.28. We suggest that the following parts need not be made, but taken off the existing armature and this particularly applies to the pinion D.71515 and Spring D.71714. D.71452 - Plunger C.E. - 1 off.
