Engine oil pressure drops and performance at low temperatures.

10 lbs. (62 to 52), but gradually recovered and was normal again within three minutes. This was due to the high viscosity of the oil at low temperatures resulting in a sluggish flow in the pipe lines. This pressure drop is a function of temperature. The figure of 10 lbs. drop was the worst case experienced when the air temperature was -4°C. When the air temperature was +5 the drop only amounted to 4 lbs/sq.in.

The engine continues to give full power and shows no sign of distress when opened up quickly from cold from the carburation point of view.
