TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}) FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}) (At Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence.) C.c. to DJ.WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} re. PHANTOM CARBURETTER. X8040 ORIGINAL R3/M28.1.27. DESPATCHED FROM WW. 31.1.27. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Hancock writes of noise from the alteration to the throttle closed angle of 18°. We have not noticed it on our car, which seems OK. in every way at this point. Don't be tempted to return to a smaller angle which jams. If the noise does exist it must be got over by some other means.
