We have had two cases recently where officials have been driving experimental cars under the private mileage scheme and we have not been aware of this, the result being that had an accident occurred they would not have been covered. To obviate a repetition of this we should be glad if you would let us have a list of all Derby officials who are insured under the private mileage basis, so that we can ensure that the necessary records are kept. With reference to people insured under other schemes, we do not feel that we can take responsibility for this so in doubtful cases are proposing to submit their policies to you.
