J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. DASHBOARD, STEERING COLUMN SUPPORT, ETC.

Herewith we send N. sch. 3418. showing the universal dashboard.

We have provided for both R.{Sir Henry Royce} and L.H. steering, but if it is known that none of the latter will be needed, the gap could be eliminated.

The bonnet is shewn 4" over the dash, and the section of hing material has been shortened.

Centralised chassis lubrication pump is P. 2.

We have not all the information needed to show the wiring and electrical fittings, but we suggest the distribution box and conduits should be of ample size to avoid having to fit wires carefully.

The construction of the conduits is the latest 25HP. type. The starter switch will sit on the near side foot of dash and the wires pass under it.

Also we send N. sch. 3419. showing a suggested adjustable steering column support giving a height of wheel plus or minus 1" from standard. This would be useful on stock cars which we understand are an increasingly large proportion of the 25HP. sales. The spokes of the wheel move only about 10° on either side of normal for full adjustment. The link is intended to be clamped tight when the adjustment has been made.

N. sch. 3422. herewith shows a steering column support following the existing 25HP. standard, in case that shewn on N. sch. 3419. should not be satisfactory.
