104-MY.

This car has had the following modifications carried out :-

Rear Springs.
50 lbs. weaker springs fitted; the object of this is to improve the appearance of the car.

Steering.
Marles steering column fitted ex chassis 58-GN, together with solid ends in the side steering tube.

Gearbox.
Silent 2nd. speed gearbox, incorporating governor control for shock dampers. This necessitated moving the hand brake lever and its quadrant forward 2.0".

Dynamo.
Voltage controlled dynamo ex chassis 58-GN.

Radiator.
Marston Mark III type matrix radiator fitted.

Shock Dampers.
The chassis has been fitted up with all parts necessary for governor controlled shock dampers, viz: shock dampers, governor unit on gearbox, instrument board control, and all connecting pipes and controls. The system however is not working as a governor controlled scheme. We have not yet reached finality on this job, and rather than fit the best we know at present, which we know would be adversely criticised, we have arranged the dampers to represent the present standard suspension. It represents the standard car now being produced with the new dampers. In the near future we shall modify the system so that it works as a governor controlled scheme. The work necessary to accomplish this is not great now that all the parts have been fitted to the car. One of our men could do the necessary modifications in London.
