ATT/MD 5/PD Mr. A.{Mr Adams} D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Miller, c/o Royston Hotel, Llandovery, South Wales. Handwritten: Pen Pre War - M C Iwn 1st January, 1970 Dear Sir, ROLLS-ROYCE PHANTOM II - CHASSIS NUMBER 184 PY Thank you for your letter of the 15th December, and please accept our apologies for not replying sooner. Repairs to the cam followers of this car may be carried out by fitting a set of tappet tips. These are obtainable from the Deloro Stellite Co. Limited, Stratton St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Margaret, Swindon, Wiltshire. Each tappet, to be repaired, will have to be ground square at the camshaft end, and the tappet tips fitted by induction brazing in oil, to prevent cracking. After brazing, the tips should be ground to a one inch radius in accordance with dimension shown on the enclosed sketch. Yours faithfully, M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} T. Donegan.
