Consumption Tests.

Mr Johnson. 9/11/10 AD13/D91110. The following is the result of the consumption test made by Mr. Platford and Hives on the journey back from London with the Metallurgique car. This test is referred to by Mr. Royce in the attached memorandum R2/D11110.-

Rolls-Royce Car.
(Driven to London and back)

Tried different type carburettors R-R pattern. i.e. various sizes of throats. Found no great difference, but averaged out at 15.1 miles per gallon on fair roads, - very greasy and heavy in places, also some rain and night driving.

Metallurgique Car.
(Return journey from London under similar conditions to above.)

Average 13 miles per gallon.
