X6016 To PN.{Mr Northey} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. EH RC{R. Childs} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.4/KT. 24.10.32. 20/25 THREE CHARGE SCHEME ON CHASSIS GAU-14. With reference to our conversation at Olympia regarding the above chassis, we confirm having pointed out that the trouble is due to the ignition switch being definitely coupled in all positions with the dynamo charge. This point was overlooked by BY's dept. when designing the switch. We did not discover this trouble when testing the car at Derby. A modification is being instructed immediately and we will advise you regarding this as soon as possible. The four other cars to be equipped will be so arranged as to not suffer from this defect. | ||
