Re. the Bentley.

Referring to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s report given in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}ll/KW. 9.3.34, and the 6th paragraph where he says: "I do think that on the Bentley where we can expect to have valve spring failures, we should arrange that the valve cannot drop into the cylinder as it is such an expensive proposition if it does". I should be glad to know what you suggest should be done.

I assume that on our other cars, if a valve spring fails, the valve can drop into the cylinder but that the chance of valve spring failure on them is not so great as on the Bentley.
