Dear Sirs,

re. P. 100. LAMPS.

We thank you for yours of the 13th. ref: OL/FEA.

So far we have not received your provisional designs for the P.100. with dipping reflectors. As soon as the writer receives them he will go into the question in detail and send you some schemes.

We would be glad if you would send to Derby Experimental Dept. a set of your P.100. type lamps with double bulbs, such as you shewed the writer at Olympia, as we have a car on which we can use them experimentally.

We would also like to receive a set of the same lamps fitted with one bulb of the bi-focal dipping type, as we have a car ready for them.

Soon we hope to have a car representing each of the best known methods of tackling the dazzle problem, when we shall be able to come to some definite conclusions.

We have fitted up the RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}160. lamps which you supplied to us, and on the road we are told that on a sharp front wheel bump the reflectors nod, and sometimes the toggle snaps across. Possibly you will wish to take this up with Mr. Hives of Derby, as there is possibly something wrong with these particular lamps.

We would like to thank you for the kind consideration you have given our suggestions.

Yours faithfully,
for ROLLS ROYCE LTD.
