X.4073 Re Withdrawal of Steering Pendulum Lever from Taper Serrations.

It has been suggested that considerable difficulty is experienced in removing the Pendulum Steering Lever from the Taper Serrations on its shaft, and that a modification is therefore required to facilitate this operation. Will you kindly express your views regarding:-

(1) The difficulty experienced in removing the Pendulum Lever, assuming, of course, reasonable workshop facilities are available.

(2) The desirability of incorporating a modification such as the withdrawing device fitted, for example, to the Bevel Pinion in the Rear Axle.
