X99B 3900. Mr Nadin. April 9th 1912. ATLAS TYRE PUMP. With reference to above and sheet from Mr Mills dated 14/3/12 we have tested this pump and with what small amount of testing we have been able to give same we have found it very satisfactory. With the engine running about 1000 [handwritten correction: 900] revs a flat 895 x 135 tyre is pumped up to 60lbs in 4 mins. 80 lbs in 7 mins and 90 lbs in 9 mins. Without jacking up car. The air pumped into the tyre appears quite pure and free from oil, there is however a very slight amount of water when starting up which appears due to condensation. I think this tackle could be safely recommended for use on our cars [handwritten addition: from experience in pref. to mech. driven tyre pumps] | ||
