New type Electric Horns. Replying to your Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}2/KW.27.10.36. The Lucas Co. have not yet completed the moulds for these horns made in bakelite, but they have tested horns to the same design made in ordinary zinc alloy castings, and have promised us a pair of these horns for test by the end of this week. They point out however that these horns are not necessarily to replace the 2 note wind horn which we now use, but are only offered as an alternative. They will only give one note, but the current consumption will be considerably less. We think the one note horn is an advantage in view of the fact of the reduction in current consumption which at present is excessive and sufficient in some cases to cause the head lamps to dim slightly when the horns are sounded.
