Contd. X. 2748. 3. the present piston metal. Since the first chassis* were on test and we realised that piston knocks were manifested, we have been working continuously on pistons. Our aim has been to reduce the tendency of piston knocks: we do not hold out any hopes whatever of curing them. We shall be sending to you in about a weeks time 49-GB. On this car we will fit pistons which will be, what we consider, within the limits to suit the Sales Dept: If the Sales Dept: force us to the limit with piston knocks, then we shall have aluminium pistons seizing. | ||
