To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. 6003 When Negretti & Zambra thermometers are either fitted to or removed from cars in the Shop, care should be taken in handling these instruments, particularly as regards the flexible capillary - also it should be ensured that the capillary is not allowed to chafe against any exposed metal part. We have recently had two of these instruments damaged - one when the radiator was removed and refitted to 39-EX. car in the Shop - the other due to the capillary being allowed to chafe against the undershield on 37-EX. car. We should be glad if you would draw the attention of the people concerned to this matter. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. | ||
