1300 Experimental Department. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /FJH. {Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} 16/JMS. 9.5.40. Messrs. The Adamant Engineering Co. Ltd., Dallow Road, LUTON, Beds. For the attention of Commander F.C.Matravers. Dear Sirs, We are in need of two steering cams to our RF.893, print attached. These are identical to your M.22638, of which you supplied us three some time ago, with the exception of the hand of the spiral. In addition to the above two cams, we need a further one to your M.22638. In all cases the end cones should be ground before hardening. We should be glad if you would let us know whether you can make these cams for us under the present circumstances. As soon as we hear that you can do so we will send you an official order for them. We should be obliged if you could send us a further print of your M.22638 as we have lost our original print. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED. Print enclosed: RF.893. | ||
