Design issues with print F.79578 concerning the semi-isolation of the scuttle from the dashboard on a 40/50 HP chassis.

Referring to print F.79578 'Semi-Isolation of Scuttle from Dashboard' our attention is drawn to the following :- 1/- The four holes in the dash near the top edge are too low, and it would seem better if they were say 3/16" higher, i.e. further from the lower edge of the steel plates on each side of the scuttle armature. 2/- In the section A.A. the top of the scuttle is shown with its fore edge very close to the after edge of the dash, and it is considered the clearance here is inadequate. 3/- Again, in the section AA{D. Abbot-Anderson}, the after part of the bolt is shown very close to the edge of the dash casting, and consequently on the movement of the body, scuttle, and dash the parts of the bolt and scuttle casting are likely to chatter. May I ask if you would very kindly have these points considered. H.O. | ||
