The practicality of using a hydraulic damper from the Phantom on a lighter car, and considerations for a compact design.

Of course the present hydraulic damper was designed for the Phantom, and its weight cannot be justified for a car weighing 33 cwts. Obviously the decision as to whether it is practical to use a friction and hydraulic damper depends to a certain extent upon the way in which it can be fitted into a design.
