Of course the present hydraulic damper was designed for the Phantom, and its weight cannot be justified for a car weighing 33 cwts.

Obviously the decision as to whether it is practical to use a friction and hydraulic damper depends to a certain extent upon the way in which it can be fitted into a design. We should therefore like to know whether, on consideration, this appears to have the makings of a compact design.
