ENGINE. Power and acceleration remains good standard. No misfires, half crankshaft period becoming noticeable. Carburetter luffs up, requires bringing up to standard. CLUTCH. No signs of any slip, fierce at times in engagement. GEARBOX. Change of gear erratic, mechanism requires bringing up to standard. BRAKES. Improved fair standard. STEERING. Good standard for selectiveness and stability. SPRINGING. Remains good for steadiness on cornering, with maximum control. CONTROLLED DAMPERS. The control of the dampers operated quite satisfactorily from maximum to minimum. There is a consistent squeak from the pump when control is in the maximum position. It is worse when cold. No oil has been lost either from the pump chamber or dampers. REAR AXLE. Bad oil leak down axle tubes and from pinion housing. G.W.H. | ||
