X. 2778 - WIRING FOR CHASSIS X 802 In accordance with your note R5/G81219, Mr.Whitehead and myself yesterday visited Messrs. Glovers for the purpose of arranging, if possible, for the supply of heater wire. We were received by Messrs. Beaver and Stratton, and discussed with them the various points in connection with this matter. We put it to them that there appeared to be two alternative propositions. Firstly, to obtain wires very similar to those so far received from them, consisting of single, twin, treble, and 4-core cable, ferflex armoured, but in which the outside dias. would be reduced considerably by cutting down the insulation and braiding to the greatest allowable extent and also to a lesser extent by reducing the sizes of the conductors to the minimum allowable. These wires would be fixed in position on the chassis in the same way as the Lucas wires had been and in the way that we are fixing Glover wires at present. The second proposition was for a similar supply of wires but without the ferflex armouring, the idea being Cont.d | ||
