DERBY.

Dear R.M.,

Thank you for yours of the 20th instant. For some reason or another, but without any justification for it, I imagined that the work was to be done at Kingsbury but I suppose it would be better to let you have the car in Derby. I am not going abroad but I can do without it the inside of a week and I could do one of the journeys to Derby myself, either bringing it or fetching it. I think it would suit me best if it went up on Monday, July 11th because if it was not ready by the end of that week it would not be a catastrophe as I should be away with people with another car and if the work ran into the following week it would not matter.

How would Monday, the 11th, suit for the car to go to Derby?

Yours sincerely,
G.R.N. Minchin

I think I must go to Derby & see the purchase dept
They want to get the cheapest possible batteries.
Why not buy axles from Wolseley's & gear boxes from Morris; much more to be saved that way !!
