ACCIDENT TO 46-PK - April 9th.1924.

I was driving 46-PK along the Burton-Derby road proceeding in the direction of Derby at 12-10 p.m. to day and overtook a car travelling at about 20 m.p.h. - my speed being approx. 24 m.p.h.

Having passed the car I had to slow down behind a farm cart to allow another car to pass travelling in the opposite direction. When I was almost stopped, the car behind ran into the rear of my car.

The car was owned by The Staffordshire Engineering and The Briton Motor Co., Wittenhall Rd., Wolverhampton. The registration No. was DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}8022 and the car was driven by Mr. Taylor.

Damage to 46-PK. Petrol tank smashed by one of the dumb irons of the car behind.

Damage to the other car. Radiator badly damaged by coming in contact with luggage grid on 46-PK.

Witness. A.Jones Esq., 13 Hill St.{Capt. P. R. Strong}, Horninglow Rd., Burton.

A.J.Lidsey. (2456).
