Please convert valve springs of large inlet valve head E.83906 (at present fitted to P.II. No.25 unit) to double taper valve spring by fitting the following parts.

(1) Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}664 Outer Springs.
(2) Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}665 Inner Springs.
(3) Ex.8897 Bottom Washers.
(4) Ex.8895 Bottom Washers Inner.
(5) Ex.8896 Top Washers.
(6) Inlet Guides to E.82958.
(7) Exhaust Guides to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1036 (modification of E.83094 attached).

The above scheme is Lec.3136 and was fitted to P.II. No.25 unit in 19.EX. chassis (see memo ref: RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}4/LS.18.8.32).

The above parts, except for the valve guides, are existing and are at present in the engine erecting shop.

This alteration is required as soon as possible.
