Description of Parts: RIGID FIXED CONTACT POINT SUPPORT FOR CUTOUT.
No. 4105
Drawing No.
Part List
Origin: Desirability of eliminating the flexibility of the present support which reduces the possibility of one sliding on the other.
Experimental Test Report: Road Test Report
This item has run over 22,000 miles on chassis 8-EX in France and the condition of the contact points is very good. Sliding action is still taking place and the wear has been very slight with very little sign of burning.
The arrgt. appears to be a definite improvement on the standard.

MR. ROYCE' | 8/2/26 | Agreed FHR. But the sliding sleeve was intended as a standard way of keeping cutout contact points clean and making reliable contact, you now say better rigid, perhaps I better agree with more or less flexibility, let us be sure that what we are doing is better than increasing the area FHR
