Please note that Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}16/KW.23.9.35 must be cancelled because B-14 unit which was allotted for this test has spread crankcase centres, and the 20/25 head coming through has not spread centres. Instead of B-14 we are therefore allotting B-15 unit for this test. In addition to the parts already fitted to this unit, the following modifications will be required :- (1) 20/25 camshaft ) Both these should (2) 11" Borg & Beck clutch ) be taken from B-14 unit. (3) Floating oil intake to Ex.15078. (4) Cylinder head to E.65605. Ex.19454 (5) Valves as per Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}17/KW.23.9.35. (6) Induction pipe to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2075. (7) Stromberg carburetter and controls as on Nor's car. This unit should be built up and handed over to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} to run the cylinder head and induction system before being fitted to the car. B-14, from which the camshaft and clutch have been taken for B-15, should be re-built with - (1) Hall's bearings. (2) Bentley camshaft. (3) 10" Borg & Beck clutch. | ||
