With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}2/MJ17.8.29. the idea
of leaving the clutch trunnion out of the central lubrication
was that the thrust bearing was made oil retaining, and
would require very little attention. This was shewn on
N.Scn.2616 where the standard 20 HP. thrust bearing
is modified to be in accordance with SS.{S. Smith} practice.
We understand from your note that this has been tried and
found not to be successful.

Under the circumstances we will shortly send you a
nozzle for the 20 HP. similar to that on SS.{S. Smith}
