Messrs. Vandervell Products Ltd.,

Park Royal,
LONDON.W.3.

Dear Sirs,

As you know we have been trying some of your 'Clevite 10' little end bushes in our experimental engines.

Although the condition so far as surface is excellent we have experienced an appreciable increase in clearance in the thrust direction of the bushes.

It appears that the material is too soft and would like to discuss this with your Mr. Johnson as to whether you have an alternative material more capable of withstanding the load to which it is subjected.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
