Steering Modification. Repair Cards. In reply to BJ4/E14.9.26, and further to our Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}13/W15.9.26, I have talked this matter over with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and the full details of the proposed modification are not yet completed. We understand the original scheme which consisted of the changeover of a Worm and Nut, for which Standardisation Sheets have been made out, will not now be recommended, as it is thought that this method does not go far enough to cure the complaints of Steering joggles. Further designs have been tested, and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has promised to report fully on this question as soon as all details are available. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} | ||
