(1) THRUST BEARING ON BACK AXLE.

CJ13/E7.9.21 and R2/G8.9.21 to CJ. - The question of Thrust Bearings on repair cars was brought up at a Works Conference this morning. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} stated that within a week's time he will be through with his experiments and will report on same with a view to standardisation.

(2) LOSS OF WATER IN HILL CLIMBING.

CJ11/E7.9.21 to R.{Sir Henry Royce} and R3/G8.9.21 to Cj. - R.{Sir Henry Royce} had already instructed Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} to carry out some experiments on lines indicated by him.

The Works Committee recommend the fitting of a smaller pulley until Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has arrived at some decision as a result of above experiments.

(3) E.O.6 SLEEVE TYPE MAGNETO WITH LARGER SLIP RING THAN NORMAL.

Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}3/NJ29.8.21 and Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}9/NJ13.9.21 to Hr. - It was agreed that the 180 Magnetos of the E.6 type should be kept in stock here and used as wanted on any cars which we are now building, and if any of these Magnetos are wanted for Eagle Aero Engines, we should take advantage of Messrs North & Son's offer to convert them to the E.O.6 type at no cost, except the £3.2.6.charged by the A.I.D. for inspection.
