Tests of paraffin waxed paper coil No P.W.P.5 on expl chassis 10EX.
In the first instance low speed running on top gear was tried with the engine at moderate temp, and was found to be OK the engine firing regularly at 3 mph on B.I. The pick up was also tried and found to be OK.
A certain amount of high speed running with the contact breaker gap set to .025" shewed misfiring at engine speeds above 2600 rpm. although at low speeds firing was very good.
During these runs the engine temp had risen to 95°-100°C.
