5th. October 1937.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to your letter of the 17th. ult., we have subjected your cable to the ionization test with complete satisfaction.

With regard to the apparatus used, we enclose a sketch of the general arrangement and details of the spark gap. Any ignition coil capable of delivering 12,000 sparks per minute at a gap breakdown voltage of 10,000 would be suitable. We use one of our standard ignition coils for this purpose.

We hope the information enclosed will meet with your requirements, and should you desire any further information, no doubt you will communicate with the undersigned, and every effort will be made to satisfy you.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
