- 3 - E.1/HP.29.12.32. (23) Rear axle bijur pipe should be taken round to the rear of the axle. Instructions have been issued. (24) Wheels - Outer spokes breaking. - This matter is being taken up with the makers. (25) Fan Belt stretching and adjustments said to be insufficient. It is proposed to reduce the speed of the belt by making the crankshaft pulley smaller. (26) Wing Stays. - N.S.F. wing requires extra stay to make it equivalent to the opposite side. (27) Link to exhaust snout is not satisfactory. This matter will be gone into and the amount of travel at the exhaust silencer snout should also be measured. (28) Hot Spot silencer anchorage brackets damaged by stones. (29) An improved scheme for the water drain cock is required. (30) Dynamo Drive - Coupling shaft running out of truth due to faulty fabrics. Metal centres may be required to ensure the alignment of this piece. Specification of Peregrine 3. --------------------------- Improved features. It was decided that the following features could be incorporated in Peregrine 3 before despatching for 10,000 mile test, together with as many more of the modifications as can be finished in time to go on the car.
