COMPLAINTSOOF VIBRATION FROM
40/50 CHASSIS.

Thank you for Hsl/LG22.7.22, which is very helpful to us.

Closed Car Vibrations. So far the vibration in closed cars with medium compression does not appear to have troubled us. We hope it will not do so in the future, especially if chassis with closed bodies are fitted with 14-tooth axles. We hope this will make a good/all-round satisfactory compromise. Of course it may be possible that in the future we may have to consider having a still lower compression for closed cars, but we of course do not wish unnecessarily to lose any power in cars with heavy bodies.

Axle Ratios. This whole matter will no doubt receive careful consideration so soon as we receive the results of the Brooklands tests.

Vibration from Fan Belts. Is it considered desirable to fit the improved type of fan belt to chassis which are now at coachbuilders? If so, please let us know what can be done in the matter of supplying improved type fan belts quickly for this purpose.
