Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/MA. 6153 5th December, 1935. The General Electric Co.Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, W.C.2. Car Radio. Dear Sirs, We are experiencing considerable difficulty in mounting the car radio set we are testing out on any of our chassis, the reason being that the bulk of the set makes it too large to easily accommodate on our dash board. This is due to the fact that we have a lubricating pump for the central chassis lubrication which is fitted on the driving side of the dash and therefore fouls the set. We could accommodate the set however, if the control cables emerged from one of the long sides instead of at the short end as the Bijur pedal could be moved to the right a few inches so that it did not foul the control cables. We should be glad to know therefore if you would be agreeable to modify you set in this manner so that same can be tested out on the car. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
