To: "Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}" DERBY. L17299 Levallois GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}I/Crn.6.12.34. re: Cadillac. We have had some difficulty in obtaining the bushes for the connecting rods. The General Motors could only supply seven, and after telegraphing to London with no results, we are having the remainder made at Dubonnet's. The bushes supplied by the General Motors for the Cadillac are rolled, i.e. made out of sheet bronze. These are the same as taken out of the rods. The bushes being made by Dubonnet will be solid. We shall, therefore, be able to see whether there is any difference in the rolled bush, as against the solid for wear, etc. This trouble has delayed the car, and it will be Monday before the turned bushes are ready. I am, therefore, returning to Chateauroux for the time being. GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} G.W. Hancock | ||
